Game of Music #5
ok here’s one for Arya and Sansa (pre-going to King’s Landing): Brahms Symphony 1, 4th mvt. from about 5:10 to about 9:50 (it could go on, but Brahms is a bit lengthy)..
I was originally going to make this just for Arya, but I think the original melody heard is a bit too sweet for her… so it’s sort of a comparison/mix between the two sisters, one being a proper ladylike girl, and the other a bit more boisterous and playful.
I specified pre-King’s Landing, coz they change heaps afterwards, and one piece of music cannot possibly describe all that no matter how long it is
..
anyway I’ll stop being a music nerd now I think and go to bed
Game of Music #1
started creating my own soundtrack for Game of Thrones characters, places, and events, with pieces from my vast collection of classical music.
First theme: Sansa (Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony, 3rd mvt.) would suit her pre- and post-moving to King’s Landing.
yeah just so you all understand.. let me explain how tags work.
The point of tags is so that people who like/are interesting in something can follow it, and get updates etc…. So:
Rule 1: DON’T TAG YOUR HATE. SPECIFICALLY IN FICTIONAL CHARACTERS’/ACTORS’ TAGS.
We all know there is often a difference of opinion about characters or whatever, but it’s actually pointless tagging hate, because I can guarantee you the people who are following that tag are NOT following it because they hate the person or character. (Not to mention the fact that if you feel the need to even write a hateful post, I’d advise focusing your energies elsewhere). You don’t actually gain anything from tagging hate, because it’s not going to change the minds of the fans, and all you’re going to get back are defensive, sometimes hateful messages/reblogs.
If you actually want to incite hate, then you’re just being a bastard.
Sansa feelings ahead
IT. WAS. AWESOME.
2012 will be a hell of a year for movies and television, I really can’t wait.
I really want to read the books now, as people have told me that the show (thus far) follows extremely close to the books…
i’m a bit sick of seeing hate posts, and arguments over GoT on my dash… so if i am allowed, I’m going to say something about the whole ‘hating’ characters thing. can people seriously just calm down? I definitely agree with all of you that Sansa is probably the most misunderstood character in the whole series, and people should realise where she’s coming from, but if I may use the words of Hamish & Andy (awesome Aussie radio/tv hosts, if you don’t know them you should) ‘in the end, we are all allowed to have different opinions’. Don’t flip out and get all offended because (shock horror) someone else dislikes your favourite fictional character. Flip out at the other losers on tumblr who make disgusting, rude comments about my friend’s appearance! (okay that might be getting into the personal stuff, but i think verbally abusing via cyberspace is far worse than expressing an opinion on a book) FYI, one of my favourite GoT characters is Catelyn, and I see so much stuff on tumblr about how people don’t like her. That’s fine! I’m okay with you having a different opinion!
Save your energy for defending something a bit more important than a fictional character. There are bigger wars to be fought in this world and believe me, if you put at much energy into them as you do for Sansa, this world would be a better place.
