the melbourne symphony orchestra has this shared concert program with the youth orchestra i play in and i’m playing in it this year

which means apparently my audition last year was like… alright
now all i have to do is convince one of the mso cellists to be my teacher…

i think stringed instruments inspire so much emotional response because the sound they make is real similar to the human voice. its like yr being sung to in a language you can’t understand, like when you were in the womb and heard people talking
